Poetics of space is a term thought of by [[Edward Said]] as a continuation of othering. Said argues that we humans universally designate a place that is ours in our mind. This is the familiar space, but there is also space that is unfamiliar to us, we see this as a space beyond ours and call it theirs. ==process== Said argues that objectivly looking at a space, isn't nearly as important as what is poetically endowed.
