"life-world" ( or "Lebenswelt", in German) is a concept in phenomenology, that talks of the world as immediately experienced in the everyday. It refers to the subjective experience of individuals of the world. According to this concept, we see a field of experience from which we select our objects rather than "see"ing objects objectively(Campbell, 1981, pp.199). It is also described as the region of reality in which man can engage himself and which he can change while he operates in it, while, at the same time, modifying his actions.
