Empathy can be defined as following: the emotional and dynamic understanding of nature as the operational field of living forces (Scheler & McAleer, 2008). Spatial empathy is the awareness that an individual has to the proximity, activities, and comfort of people surrounding (Wikipedia). In other words, empathy is when spatial action can be understood by others. Different cultures have different views on spatial actions and therefore spatial empathy differs per person and is different for every space and place. The environment in which an action takes place is very important for spatial empathy.
