Duration

Duration is one of the four key elements in which regionalisation can be characterised due to Anthony Giddens. The other three are form, span and character. Duration refers to the time it takes for regionalisation to take place, but also the duration how long the regionalisation lasts in a certain area (Cloke, p. et al. 1991).
