La Pocha Nostre

La pocha nostre is a movement which arised from connections between different migrant artist (on the street) in Mexico. What la pocha nostre exactly wants to achieve is resumed in the following quote:’’ Pocha is a way to formalize those connections and maintain an open global network of ongoing artistic and political communication.’’ ‘’La Pocha's main emphasis has been the creation of intercultural, cross-border collaborations with performance artists from many countries.’’(Sifuentes) One of their important goales is to shrink the difference between immigrants and the original inhabitants. They want to create a cartography in which all kinds of immigrants and minorities interconnect by letting cultural power be dominant. By creating a group of musicians/artist they want to close the gap between different cultural group who live at the same place/in the same area.
