Definition

Value rationality is defined as a handling with a certain way of value connected with it. An action is handled with a certain value in mind which defines the action. But when this action is perceived by someone other then the acting person it can be interpreted as irrational, because of the lack of knowledge about the persons motives and rational thinking.

Value rationality is one of the ideal types created by Max Weber.
