Wolfgang Zierhofer currently lives in Wettingen, Switzerland. He works there at the University of Basel. Previously, he has lived in the Netherlands. At that time he worked for the Department of Human Geography, at the Radboud University of Nijmegen. In Nijmegen, he worked among others together with Henk van Houtum and Olivier Kramsch (see 'publications').

Zierhofer is very much engaged into concepts as 'space' and 'action' and their meaning for the consideration of 'Geography'. He explains geographical concepts, to gain understanding of a 'language-pragmatic and nonessentialist position'.
